When you attend our services it will soon become very clear that we think Jesus is pretty awesome!

So who is Jesus?

Well, we believe that Jesus takes centre stage in our faith. Jesus wasn’t just a good man and a teacher, he was much more than that! We believe that Jesus was not only human but he was also God. The bible calls him Immanuel, which means ‘God with us’ The bible goes on to tell us why Jesus is with us and that was because God loved us so much that he sent Jesus, his only son to earth, to become the solution to a very big problem.

So why did Jesus have to come?

Well, we have to go back to the beginning to explain why. God created man and women to have a close friendship with him, I guess you remember Adam & Eve! Well Adam & Eve represented mankind and through their disobedience they turned their back on God and what we call ‘SIN’ entered the world. SIN is basically a three letter word with the problem being the letter in the middle ‘I’. Mankind decided to go it alone and it all became about self and ‘I want to do what I want to do’ I will do it my way!

We just didn’t listen to the creator who had put healthy boundaries in place for his creation. I am sure you may be familiar with the 10 commandments? Well the plan God had was for us to Love our Neighbour, Do not murder, Do not steal, Do not lie. I am sure you would agree that if mankind stuck to those boundaries, that the world would be a better place right! However, we didn’t and we haven’t and the world needed saving from ourselves, so God sent us a saviour, his son, Jesus!

Jesus is the answer to a broken world.

Through Jesus we can experience a life free from guilt and shame and no matter how broken you think you are, Jesus can restore you! Your past doesn’t have to determine your future, we can press the reset button and start again. Part of doing that is inviting Jesus into your life and with that you have a fresh start.
